Yes, you can, but putting it in an appropriate enclosure will improve the sound output considerably.
Hey thanks for the response. I'm thinking of using an enclosue like the one in the attached image...
Hi leosep,
First you need to find out the proper T/S...Here is an attempt and another type of box:

A little on the small size. You will be fine if it is in a small room and for music. Don't think you are going to get earthquake and dino footfalls LFE out of it.
Can i use this driver in the attached image for my home subwoofer?
Depends on what you are expecting out of it. I would say it is not the best choice for HT. It could work for music to help small speakers. If you can give more details of what you want to end up with you will get better answers.
An eight inch with a relatively high free air resonance doesn't seem to me like a very good candidate for a subwoofer.
Another woofer
Im planing to use it for movies and music in my bedroom.
I have another driver with this specs:
Sensitivity: 92dB (W/M)
Impedance: 8ohm
Re: 6.8ohm
Le: 0.989mH
Frequency response:
45Hz~6KHz
Fs: 68Hz
Qts: 0.56
Qes: 0.69
Qms: 3.3
Vas: 10.86 liters
Xmax: 5.4mm
Overall frame diameter: 8.27"
Required cutout: 7.17"
Mounting depth: 3.94"
Will this one work better?
I have these 2 drivers in my closet. I want to do something with them. What are thy good for?

The first driver, if it's specs are correct, is a much better candidate for a sub woofer.Im planing to use it for movies and music in my bedroom.

The second driver, with an Fs of 68 Hz, more than an octave higher than the low note on a 5 string bass, would be considered more of a mid-bass candidate by most sub folks.
This driver is a pro driver with a high Fs (68Hz) not good for a subwoofer.Im planing to use it for movies and music in my bedroom.
I have another driver with this specs:
It's a "Full range speaker" "Ideal for sound reinforcement, monitor and musical instrument use" and "Optimized for vented enclosures". You can have it in a BR 22L/45Hz and F3=46Hz (38Hz in room) or crossed to a subwoofer @90/100Hz in a sealed box ~20 L.

the first one with high Qts...simply mount it in plate, and push it under your bed 🙄
The first driver
Thanks for your responses. I ill use the first driver for the project then. Any suggested measures for the box based on the specs? 😀

high Qts and large Xmax(if true)
well, spec sheet says 'for small enclosures'...so maybe I'm wrong
