Can I lubricate this motor?

I'm using a little Maxon 12v dc ironless rotor motor (#9904 120 18105), from RS. It's over 6 years old.

It has begun to run slightly slow. Everything else (battery, voltages, belt, bearing etc) seems ok.

Can I lubricate this type of servo or must I replace it? If I can oil it what is the best lubricant?

Hello

NO !

Sewing maschine Oil ist not for Turntable Motor or Bearing Motor.

You can get by me the right oil for Motor and Main Platterbearing.

Use the Thorens Experience.

Just contact me.

Hmmm..... bit late for such advice.

As far as I'm concerned any oil is better than no oil.

I've used sewing machine oil on synchronous motors, and have used
all sorts of oil for turntable main bearings - doesn't seem to matter.

:0/sreten.

My full time bread comes from a company that uses Maxon DC motors in public transport ticket machines. The brushes ultimately do wear on these... We replace the motors. I do not know if the motors are at all similar. They get very rough and hard to turn when this happens..

Hello

I understand you.

You can use every oil if you want, but if you have motor noise, it is a very important difference.
The sewing machine oil do not make the same Job .
I know the difference .
Sewing oil has no right lubrification effekt.
