Can i connect a cap with wires?

I have two 10,000uf caps that have 5 legs and really long distance
between the two legs that are actually connected (25mm).

I was wondering if it's acceptable to solder to wires for the + and - to
the pcb and solder the other side to the + and - of the cap.

Another thing i wanted to know, is if it's ok to place the caps upside down.

Sure, it will lower the ESR very slightly. Just don't connect connect + to - !!!

Yes, elec caps can be run at any angle, no sweat.
