PC Clock

Be careful, with some chipsets removing the 32.768KHz clock prevents operation and can prevent the pC booting. No long term damage though.

If you just want to suspend the clock then look at the RTC chip registers set (sorry I don't have the details at home so check with google as all PC RTCs are the same at the basic level) and see if you can stop the counting.

Be warned that once XP/2000 is active it ignores the hardware RTC and keeps its own clock.
