What I would like to confirm that this is the older Resista (Roederstein) resistor from the 1990s or if it is something else.
The color band values I know - I just need to know who it was made by and when. How is this even determined with certainty?
Thanks.

Difficult to say, you'll never know for certain, but all of my NOS look like these.
Michael Percy still has some NOS values in stock. https://www.percyaudio.com/

That's not even what he is asking.My guess is 47k

Ohhh I totally missed that, sorry. but may I ask why? I wouldnt know a way besides contacting the manufacturer of the device and ask if they still know this...other than that...not possible.
Yellow = 4_ Purple = 7_ Black = 0_ orange = 000_ Brown = 1%___ 470K resistor
From the length of the resistance you can determine the Watt.

They look like Vishay Metal Glaze to me. VR68000004703JAC00
Current production is istill on going.

Thanks for the replies.
I bought an old (1990s) Parasound 2200 II and I am going through it making small modifications per John Curl's recommendations. His big suggestion is to make sure that this resistor is "Resista or Holco" since apparently the Taiwan factory didn't always put what he recommended in the amp when it was made. The Holcos are black so it is either the Resista or some other brand.
Making matters worse, I bought some old Resistas but they are about 1/2 the size of this one. Same body color and color bands, but the physical size is not the same.
