Hi I'm wondering if anyone can identify this brushless DC motor from a TTW Gem V2 turntable? Possibly a Hurst or Maxon but there's no markings of any kind on it.
It's been wrapped in metal tape. From here, it looks like heat/cool duct tape (real duct-tape, not that cloth junk). If so, peel it off. But if it might be magnetic steel, peel very carefully, you want to keep it.there's no markings of any kind on it.
Hi. I also have Gem 2 motor, that died.
But I can't figure out how to open the case.
How did you do it?
As for your motor, this guy might be able to help you - he rebuilts motors:

His name is Witcher Trent.
Good luck.

Often you'd develop a bespoke motor for a turntable, not off the shelf, as the requirements are rather different from the mainstream.

The right people to ask are the manufacturers, surely?
