Hello,
I am new to this blog and a relative electronics newbie.
I was wondering if anybody recognizes this amp.
Tube: 4xel84, 1x12ax7, 1xgz34. It is a mono amp push-pull type.
Attached pics of top and underside.
Any info would help.

Yes, the caps don't look like typical British. At the bottom right of the chassis (top view) it says Line Cord Remote something. That suggests American, as we would call it the mains lead. So why was an American kit using European valve names?
It was the sloppy wiring which made me think 'kit'.

OK, wild guess: the amp was designed between 1953 (when EL84 appeared) and 1956 (when 6BQ5 US name appeared) - see EL84 and 6BQ5. Both dates are approximate, but the EL84 is a Philips design so would have appeared first in Europe.
Now consider 12AX7 (US 1947) and ECC83 (Eu 1954). If the dates can be relied on this puts the design (but not necessarily the manufacture) in 1953 or 1954 - give or take a year.
I will leave someone else to do the same exercise for the rectifier!
