Bose speakers sound great for home theater usually. This is because they are much higher quality than the Logitech sets, even the ones with the THX logo slapped all over them. Also Bose sets have huge excfessively powerful subs with them. Bass is much more important watching movies than it is listening to music or anything like that. I'm one of those ******** that goes into best buy and plays with all the speakers and never actually buys anything.

LoL same here
Well, are the Klipsch ones good?
Klipsch is probably the best computer speakers you can get hands down. I think most people will agree with me on that one. But they are also the most expensive. If you are looking for a good computer sound system for not a lot of money, go with logitech. If you want to go all out and spend a few hundered on a sound system, definately go with Klipsch. I am also pretty positive that both of these systems can also be hooked up to anything with RCA jacks so if you haul your xbox over to a buddy's house or want to watch your dvd's with a decent surround, it's the way to go.
The Klipsch sets are good, but I don't think they're woth the price at all. I think you'd be much wiser to invest the money in one of the more powerful Logitech THX Certified sets. As soon as I get home(I'm on vacation now, and writing from someone elses computer that annoyingly makes jungle noises whenever you do anything), I'm ordering a set of the 640's. It's a great deal on them, and I need some decent computer speakers. Right now all I have is one of those cheap Altec Lansing 2.1 systems(ugh). Pathetically they cost as much as the 640's. Of course, I didn't buy them, I'm just uh... borrowing them for an extended period of time from someone. Do the 640's use regular speaker cable like(I think)the 680's do?
hi
did you all forget you are in a video forum?
better search in the loudspeaker forum
and remember.... a 10" speaker will never do the job as a 30" speaker
maybe some of you really love their pc speakers so please go to a home theater retailer and try a good config with a movie you know and compare, not only the power and quality but also the "ambiance"
bye

The 640's are all connected to the subwoofer through a mono RCA jack. There are four color coded jacks on the back of the subwoofer that matches a speaker such as green=front left and so on. The center channel uses a giant cable since it controlls everything which is not RCA.
