Bought some pcb of the amp camp/camp amp and wonder if it is a good idea to put some capacitors between the laptop psu and the pcb?
I have a lot of Rifa 4700mF I could use..

Many switching power supplys don't like to see large capacitors on the output. When they try to start up, the capacitance looks like a short so the supply quickly shuts off. Your results will vary depending on the supply you use. See the discussion in the sticky ACA thread around post 1970.
I have 4700uF after SMPS PSU (laptop brick) and it sounds much better than with 10uF. I don´t know why it is, but difference is like night and day.
Do you have one capacitor with capacitance 4700mF..or many small connected together?
Thanks for det help, all of you...

I second kacernator that addiing some caps (4x4700uF in my case) at the output of smps improves the sound dramatically (yes almost like day and night). My Meanwell SMPS whistles for 1-2 sec upon startup (like my father's old flash for his old camera ;-)) an then the sound comes trough the speakers.
I also bypassed the output 3300uF with different caps.
Tried film 2.2uF up to 4.7uF and bipolar electrolitic 50uF. Perversely I liked the electrolitic the most. Maybe because it was the biggest.
