Yes that is what I felt at that time and with the system connected to it. You should know that sound experince is a subject.
Yesterday I added a Philips 330.000uf to the EMS LB8EX. Finally I was listening to a true field coil speaker. So much faster and very responsive. Much more revealing, transparent and engaging on low level listening. Piano sounded scary real. It feels like the musicians are in the room. Adding a bypass silver mica was the cherish on the ice cake. More natural without taking out the dynamics. Bypass MKP didnt work for me.
Go for it.
Go for it.

Hello Bart, you nned to provide information about possible position of the speakers. This can better determine if you should build a floorstander or bookshelf. Pesonally I would build a floorstander. Due to the driver size you can with an appropiate cabinet get a nice low frequency output. I would recommend you either contact EMS and ask for drawings or try using Chatgpt. I have used the last on acouple of projects and it is amazing what you it retunr and learn at the same time teach you. It is simple to use. Avoid uploading pictures and drawings it limit you amiunt of questioning/resarch. Keep it text based. You explain what you want to build, the reputation and quality of the driver, tell what cabinet size and position you have in mind (floorstander, bookshelf) and/or a wish for building a optimal cabinet for the actual driver. You provide the data and then chatgpt work. It collect content from the internet and then calculate a design for you. Often it present an idea and ask if you want to have measurments and/or a cutting list. You can also ask for it and be more specific askimg for results with a slim or wide frontbaffle and then it will calculate this. Impportant with chatgpt - the more detailed and challenging the better the results and the best part is this - you can ask all the questions you like and no one harrash you - hehe. It also very educational if you manage to ask “what if” questions - you will then discover that there is issues that will make chatgpt deliver more layers. I have also used chatgpt to design a field coil power supply and have a good talk about this subject which clear some myths. I wish you good luck with the project.
This speaker calls for a backloaded horn, a relfex or TL won't do it with that low QTS, at least not below 100Hz F3. You can use it as a midtweeter with a woofer in a waw config altough. 6L ported tuned to 100Hz is what you may want then. For backloaded horns i need to leave it to others, because there i'm not skilled in the design at all. A scoop type of backloaded horn (backloaded horn with compression chambre) would probally be the best for this.
