This is a bit off base, but still …
I’d love to have a beer with the collective you, but June is out due to commitments. I suspect you won’t meet in July or August, but might again in September? In September, I plan to drive to Vancouver Island for photography, and to visit my sister, and could pass through Calgary.
If I do … and anyone there is, or knows someone who is, interested in high voltage (2000 V CT), 2.5 v heater, SETs (or whatever else they were used for) perhaps we could make an arrangement because I’ve got 3 ‘sets’ of transformers (plate, filament plus chokes), high voltage oil caps (3000 v 4 uf plus others), gas rectifiers (866), and some, untested, tubes (813, 814) that I would gladly part with.
I acquired these from my 80+ year old HAM brother-in-law and I will never use them, plus it’s that inevitable time when a person needs to start divesting themselves of ‘stuff’. I would prefer that they go to someone who would, potentially at least, use them as opposed to passing them off to a metal recycler and/or the ‘dump’.
I’ve avoided putting these on DiyAudio, or Canuck Audio, as the weight and size would make packing, and shipping, ridiculous ... hence the personal delivery. Though, if anyone wanted to drive here to get them ...

John did some research and found some members who have indicated interest in connecting with other DIYers in Calgary. Some have probably subscribed to this thread already, but I figured I'd name-drop here just in case. I think @bxt2008 was at our inaugural meeting.

Five enthusiasts attended last night’s pub meeting, thanks again for making the event such an enjoyable one. Lots of “hot topic” audio discussions round the table, as evidenced by the thermal image attached. Looking forward to the next one end of next month. (Tom, thanks for arranging these)
