Cabinet refinishing

Hi, firstly I'd like to introduce myself (couldn't find an introduction forum), so "hello" to everyone!
I have a pair of JBL L110s, the cabinet is in quite good condition but the veneer isn't great anymore, bits are missing etc. I'm no good at woodwork so new veneer is out of the question. So, if I patched up the missing bits of veneer so the surface was nice and even, what sort of finishes would look good on them? I'm thinking of something that I can spray on but I'm open to other suggestions 🙂
Thanks in advance.

+1 for the iron on or PSA wood veneer. cut oversize, apply, trim with utility knife, sand and finish. super easy for a box like this.

vinyl wrap is cool but the surface needs to be perfectly smooth and non-porous. it telegraph every imperfection in the old veneer.

you can look into flocking as well. I wonder why you never see this...

Try this, you can get it on Amazon and it comes in several stains for different woods. It's very easy to apply and it does a really good job.

I assume the speaker has real wood veneers?
