cabinet covering material.

I am looking for old school cabinet covering material; not tweed, Tolex, Levant, or the other common coverings currently in use by most builders.
What I'm looking for is something like the stuff old Silvertone/Danos and Valco/Supro/National/Gretsch amps and instrument cases had. I'm also looking for speaker grill cloth like the old amps and hi-fi's; the stuff that looks like worms crawled around on it after being dipped in white paint.
I've noticed that the new Supro brand amps have an old school covering, so someone is making it.
Anyone know where to get it?

Thanks!

The covering cheapskate Silvertone and others used is textured vinyl wallpaper, not kidding.
There's even one kind which already has its own glue, you just wet it with a brush or wet rag (don't overdo it or you'll wash it off) , wait 5 minutes, and it's sticky.

That said, there are some real cool surface/colour/textures available.
Even on the self glued ones, I "activate" them with a diluted carpenter's glue in water solution, for a stronger adhesion.
Only problem is that they don't stretch (they would plain tear) so you can't do rounded corners and such ... no big deal, Silvertones and such did neither (just to save cost) , they used unrouded edges and corners ... no corner protectors either.

There are some *incredible* textures out there, unheard of in the Tolex world:

As of old style grill cloth, visit a shop selling *home* type textiles, the ones used for curtains, cover sofas and furniture, etc.
Some killer cloth out there.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Don't forget the cheesy hardboard "speaker panel" for authenticity:
