Have a Plus U5-132 projector lying around, decided to get it out and have a go at getting it working. Bought it of ebay, lamp had ran out, I intended to re-lamp it on the cheap, but never got round to it.
Found a thread over on a french projection forums, someone was trying to bypass the lamp on another Plus U5 projector that used the same ballast. Using google translate I was able to glean enough information from the thread to find the wires for lamp check bypass.
Now after soldering in a wire for the lamp bypass I am getting the projector coming on with green flashing standby light, then goes to steady green. I'm hoping that this is it and that the bulb has been bypassed. Shining a white bike light in to the lamp chamber got nothing from the lens.
Before I soldered in the bypass wire I was getting the projector coming on showing lights that meant no bulb. So at least there is an improvement.
This Picture shows the mainboard of the projector, The connector circled in red is the one I'm shorting, the blue line shows the position of this daughterboard.
Any help would be appreciated

It Woooooorks 😀, Shined a light in the lamp compartment and when I look through the lens I see a blue screen with the word "searching" on it. I'm assuming its looking for video input.
Now I have to get a lamp solution, Thinking Xenon/LED, or If possible I will try to repair the existing ballast (several blown diodes/transistors) and buy a bulb from 18wheeler.
ALL help or ANY comments appreciated
Thanks
