View Sonic Office Theater PJL855
3LCD
SFH6106-1 Opto x2 on Ballast
PC123 Opto x2 on PSU/Mainboard
Sensors I have found so far:
1 Temp Cutoff Sensor (resistance ?)
1 Lamp Case switch
Opto x 2 on Ballast and Mainboard
The Ballast to mainboard connector (signal) is 3 pins. I have tried every combination of shorting and with a ground to the case. Modded my Opto's like from here

Maybe I got it backwards. My Optos are reverse of each other. The 3rd picture shows Continuity? tests on them in reference to the 3pin connector.
Anyone ever mod one of these before? I am thinking ill just have to put everything backtogether and see if it works. I can't seem to find any sneak case detection but maybe.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Works great. With a 23 watt energy saver household bulb and no reflecter and a pitch black room I can just barely stand watching something at minimal focus range.
I am gonna pick up a 50Watt LED with 3800 lumens of directional light at about 60 degrees angle. If the light is uniform enough I might be able to get 3 50 Watt LEDs and instead of 1 light source and mirrors into 3LCDs 1 LED per LCD! The emitting area is big enough.
I reckon that would be quite bright as it would only have to pass through a color filament, a lcd -> Prism -> Triplet w/ Focus.
