Bypass Active volume control on Proton D540

I have a Proton D540 that has a bad 4 gang pot. A combo of log and linear! Yes get a new one easily! 3 of the sections are bad. I was thinking about bypassing the active control ans installing a 50k log pot. with loudness tap. Anyone have any ideas here?

I will attach a schematic after I get the single page scanned.
