Of course, look at your own power line, just passively notch the 50 Hz (in your case) 60 Hz for us. Haven't you even tried?

But John, the graph you showed doesn't notch the 50 (or 60) Hz. It just lowpasses the first signal to get the second signal. That should be clear from even a quick look at the curves.
Noise reduction IS a Good Thing. But here it is in the mains neutral.
Question is what it does to the audio?

Oh, you can read the graphs, then? That should be enough to show a difference with and without a Bybee device. The rest is only our imagination. At least, that is the easiest way to explain it. By the way, the input waveforms with the full signal, have a +/- 250V scale, the output waveforms are +/- 12.5V full scale, and it appears that the major lumps on the output waveforms are non nulled fundamental. All horizontal scales are 5ms/div.

Netlist, I hope that you are satisfied. You asked, I provided, and I have diligently attempted to explain the test. However, I did NOT do the test, I was not present at the lab that did the test, and I did not personally know Jack Bybee when the test was run. Other tests were also done, but they primarily show that there is NO significant capacitance, inductance, or anything else much, except for a fixed resistance.

When I asked, it was for the community.
I am surprised that it took so many years to reveal a tip of the iceberg.
I leave it to you to judge if others are satisfied but at the same time it seems that your aim is true. If you were not there when measurements took place, so be it.

On a side-note, I would like to say that it is most apparent that you come from another era, where designers and engineers used to be secretive. (My personal impression) Times have changed in this internet era and to gain some respect and credibility, one must be open when participating in an online community.
So yes, I am satisfied when you are less secretive.
Amen. 🙂

Just last night an engineering colleague, whom I worked with at Humphrey Ins and Lineage, told me that I give TOO MUCH AWAY. He now makes $125+/hr as a consultant, and until last month was temp employed at LBL. He has known me for 26 years.

One cannot explain everything. And sometimes, it is more practical to not give 'everything' that I know, for a number of reasons. However, with this Bybee noise comparison test, I would have posted it 5 years or more, ago, if I thought it would get a fair hearing. Thank you, Netlist, for asking the right question.
