Good Morning,
I just arrived in the forum,
I start with a question 🙂
I would buy the Celeston Ditton 33 (1978)
it is better to replace the electrolytic capacitors in the crossover?
What you of these speakers?
What are the correct values (and available) of these electrolytic?
Thank You

Welcome aboard.

I don't remember where I dug this up from, but somebody on the net has had a go at working out the Celestion Ditton 33 crossover.

No coil values, but the capacitors should be marked 50V NP. But I'd give them a listen and inspection before doing anything.

You might find your speakers are different. Many revisions, I expect. Usual 4th order Celestion bass, and 4 element midrange. The tweeter filter looks suitable for a 4 ohm driver, or maybe it's wrong because Celestion usually used 4 and 6uF on the tweeter. All speakers wired positive polarity.

Hi,

Used speakers are all about how much they cost
for the performance they offer, unless you have
a particular reason to want them, like your dad
had a pair, or you just like the look of them.

Ditton 33's wouldn't be my choice, unless cheap.

rgds, sreten.
