That should mean that the output of the amplifier goes to the full negative rail voltage when the amp is switched off. Is that correct?

not total, only 30v when I disconnect remote

If the gate of the low-side FET is going to 30v, the low-side would be fully on and the output would go to the negative rail.

the negative rail output is not, since it is only when the amplifier is disconnected it raises a peak of 30v DC in the output and emits the POP in the speaker.
the amplifier, lights and works perfectly. the problem is when it turns off, it emits POP on the speaker
