Does anyone know how Butler Audio get 100w class A out of a 300B tube in their new Moad A 100 pure class A amp. There was quick blirb with a picture in the latest Stereophile. 100w class A out a single 300B is a pretty steep claim. It would be interesting to see how they accomplish this feet.

Butler's recent kick has been "Tube driven". Look at their 375-watt half-breadbox car amps "using" a 6SL7.

The Monad specs say:
Power Output:
Minimum 100 Watts RMS @ 8 Ohms
128 Watts, RMS typical @ 8 Ohms
200 Watts, RMS typical @ 4 Ohms

Clearly these are big piles of BJTs/MOSFETs with a tube in front.
