Hi all, I sold a Burson Soloist amplifier, and during shipping it broke. The insurance claim didn't go through and now I am trying to fix the amplifier.
The volume control works, but the gain switch does not. Regardless of gain, I get a very low, extremely distorted signal through my headphones. All the LED's light up properly inside and on the exterior of the amplifier. One weird thing is that it I push on the power switch the slightest bit (even if I push towards power on while it is on, so effectively not moving the switch) I get signal disconnects and such. I haven't ever worked with SS so I don't know where to start looking with my DMM. Any help is appreciated!!
Update: I was able to verify that the attentuator and input signals were not the issue. I suspect it may be a power issue since it occurs in both channels, but im not really sure where to test

I wish... They don't say much. All I know is which section is power and which is amplification
