Burned component on Icepower 125asx2

I'm looking for a component that burned trough on my Icepower 125asx2.
I think it's a surge protector from looking around but i'm not sure.
It's between phase in and the fuse (see attachments).

I hope you guys can help me!

Placement suggests some kind of surge protector, but they dissipate significant power, typically are disk shaped and mounted on thick legs, so as to stay away from PCB surface.

Yours is right against it.

Does it have any inscription?

What does it measure? ... open? ... some resistive value?

More important, what happens if you bridge those pads with, say, a 2,5ohm or 5 ohm regular surge protector?

If none available, you might rescue one from an old defunct PC supply.

Absolute worst case and if in a hurry, *I* would wire a series lamp, say 150W or so, and turn amp on to check what happens. YMMV

I would NOT plain bypass those pads with a piece of wire.

Certainly somebody who knows the circuit will offer a better answer or suggestion.

I's fluctuating in resistance. I've tested the burned component and a similar component still on the board. Maybe it helps to know that the aux power output has got three similar components as does the neutral mains wire in on the back side of the board.

I don't have to suggested testing components at hand but will try them when out of other options. Thank you for your help.

In this video: ICEpower 125ASX2 eBay boards - YouTube he calls it "overcurrent melting mount surges" but can't find anything similar when searching online on these terms.

That is nonsense, it's a thermistor. You must use the exact correct rating for replacement.
