here's the model for multi-device burn-in...
note the bend radius of the forks has been carefully executed to minimize stress fractures during burn-in😉

Hey they serve those in China, except they use cocktail franks and four legs. I guess meat is scarcer there when I got a hot pot one choice was spam.

So I´m burning my "sausage" to improve audible performance. Maybe you so-called objectivists want to know its measures eh. Back off
Well I read the entire thread and the dielectrics possible role has already been suggested two or three times, but noone replied, which is strange.
Insisting on the metal burn-in led to nowhere. Think about capacitors. Those of you who believe in capacitor burn-in are not going to say it´s all in the wire leads, are you?

Well if it's not all in the mind and not all in the wire, then yeah, I suppose it could all be in the dielectrics. Sort of by deduction.
It's actually in the connections if you guys want to be serious. Nah, that wouldn't be right in a thread like this would it?
I wonder if the sound I have now is actually better than what I had a few years ago, as all I have to go on is my 'un-trained' memory. I was at a family get together and our stories of childhood were challenged by other family members who were also 'there'. I thought wow we can't even remember our own lives accurately. That is the human nature?! 🙂
But overall, like the most other human abilities, this one can be trained too. Learning to be "aware" and learning to listen, which means to involve as most areas of the brain as possible during categorization and storing brings a better working aural memory.
The state of "awaraness" helps to retrieve a maximum of the information already stored in memory.
But, accurate in the sense of perfect? Wouldn´t be human. 🙂

They appear alot in the lunchboxes of Japanese drama. My guess is the Chinese copied it (as usual).

In my experience the Kabuki bento are very traditional and expensive. The German restaurants OTOH anything goes.
Yaccocables. Isaac will you please PM me your email address, for some reason I'm unable to PM or email you.

contrary to appearances, your post is not irrelevant in respect
of the thread subject..
it s as relevant as the explanations given by some people
about necessity of cable burn in...
it s even possible that the "burning" will be better if done while
we are at a restaurant...
when returning to home, the stomach full, no doubt that the
sound will be ,strangely, more appealing...

Does watching drama help?
On a slightly more serious note, memory (and being used to something) plays a role so big that I've decided never to listen to my ear again when deciding which is best.
As I live in a different accomodation from my home due to studies I only return on the weekends to blast my stereo. Friday night, the speakers sound so clear and detailed, yet lack bass and "air" for some reason. Play a bit, wake up next day, and the bass and air has returned at the expense of details. This repeats every week without fail.
This could be due to my headphones (MS-1) at my alternative accomodation, but similar things were experienced when I had to go outfield for a week during national service in the past. Furthermore, this does not explain why the bass appears weaker (since bass does not exist on the MS-1, my speakers should seem bassier), but I've noticed that bass seems to reduce the longer I spend outside in noisy places, particularly public transport, in the past.
House visit and shootouts would hardly be accurate with these effects.
i have no good explanation to your special case...
ears take some time to recover from heavy sound
pressures and regain their full sensibility, but unless
the ambiance you re in are in the level of rock concerts,
it should recover in a few hours...
generally, a day is necessary to have the impression
of recovering a clean hearing after an exposition to high levels..

I believe this is more due to our mind than the ears though, how we perceive what we hear when compared to what we (think we) know.
By adjusting the EQ to have less bass and treble, after a minute or two turn the EQ off and suddenly the speakers are magically upgraded for 20 seconds. Might have been talked about before, this effect.

Whatever you say. You would never find Spam in a bento but the "crab stick' is everywhere. Go figure and test your brakes while you're at it.

Just joking myself, I tried to rent a car for this weekend and the only ones left were the Prius.
