built two-way speaker using B&C drivers

Hello everyone. I currently have two B&C DE900 drivers at 16 ohms and horn B&C ME90
I want to build with them a pair of active 2-way baffles for small concerts,
I'm doubting whether to build them with
With 2 speakers of 6.5´´ each box or a single speaker of 10´´
I do not need to lower more than 90Hz, because I have 2 subwoofer 15 B&C 15TBX100 in its corresponding box speaker
Has anyone in the forum built any equipment with the B&C DE900?
I would appreciate advice.
Thank you. A greeting.

So, where would you want to cross this? I'd guess 1k5ish. The 900 should be OK with this.
Hi. If between 1500 or 2000Hz. It will depend on the frequency response of the media speaker you are going to use. I would like to hear from someone who has combined the B&C DE900 driver with a media speaker that has given good results in audio quality. In summary, I need to know which speaker preferably 10 inches combines Perfect with the DE900

Thanks Allen B. I hadn't thought about the breaking point. I did a test with a borrowed 10-inch speaker model B&C 10PLB76 to combine with the B&C DE900 driver. Place the 10 speaker in its bass refles box and the DE900 by mounting the Horn B & CME90 to the side, An active 2-way digital processor at 1500Hz Linkwit-Riley 24 dB was used applying attenuation to the DE900 driver of -10 dB with respect to the media speaker. Use a QSC PLX 3002 dual amp one channel for each path With the measuring microphone, perform a time alignment (delay) through the digital processor. Although I did many laps for several days, the result was very bad, the sound was aggressive in the crossover zone between 1k and 2k The manufacturer's frequency graph shows a peak of more than 10 decibels at 3000 Hz On speaker 10PLB76 Perhaps that peak is related to the breaking point you are commenting and that is why it is indomitable. The system I want to mount will be fully active with a digital processor and three dual QSC PLX 3002 amplifiers. One channel of amplifier each way. Can you recommend any good 10 ”or two 6.5” speaker that I can combine Good with the DE900? As I said before I have 2 15 ”subwoofer With which the media speaker will have a low crossover of 100HZ Thanks for your help.

The 10PLB76 looks OK because it is sensitive, and it is made to be used at higher frequencies.

The horn should be better mounted on the baffle because it is a big jump around the lip when it is mounted on the side of the box.

Try to get the woofer crossed at 1k5, but finished before 2k5. You can also adjust the peak at 3k if it is noticeable.

There is not much precise information about the ME90

Tanks Allen BI don't know if it doesn't explain me well. The test I did with the speaker 10PLB76 was not loaded in horn, the box is direct radiation and the crossover at 1500Hz The sound was not good, something bad feeling. Horn ME90 is metallic, maybe This also does not help the good sound, creating some resonances. What I do know is that I want to use the DE900 driver The box I want to build 2-way would be direct radiation, preferably with a 10 "that I have to buy.

Today I tried the combination B&C DE900 with a 10 ”media speaker B&C 10PE26. The result is much better than the test I did with the B&C 10PLB76. The sound is much clearer and cleaner quite acceptable, with a pressure similar to 10PLB76. But I'm thinking that considering that the B&C 10PE26 is a pretty model In addition to being discontinued, I guess you can find a current speaker, even neodymium that works well combined with DE900 driver. Any help to the election will be appreciated
