Quarter round is a nice easy way to finish plywood butt joints. You simply use a cleat on the inside and add the quarter round after. Popular 30 years ago. Still is I guess in some circles.

Come to think of it, it is my first build hiding all the plywood end-grain, which I personally like and sometimes (try to) put to good effect.

Might explain why they have a retro sort of look to me, perhaps a bit of 80's in there because of the oak?

I'm listening to them right now - while it would be silly to expect the same level of dynamics, scale, impact, bass extension , or cohesiveness when SPLs are above high 80s, as with larger FR, or multi-ways such as the A12PW/ A7P MTMs, there's just something about the 85.

Of course, high pass them and add woofers, and it's a different story.

Enclosures are approx 30" tall floorstanders with a familiar enough shape.
