Just incredible.........where does the creative genius that produces such things come from? Could someone replicate this from scratch even now without seeing how the original was done?

Even if somebody did recreate one today it just wouldn't have have the aesthetic beauty of its internal mechanisms. It would probably just have an Arduino and X number of followers on facebook 🙄
There is a challenge here:
Show a clock maker/engineer the video without revealing the mechanism and then ask them to produce the exact same result (mechanically only) to the same scale with whatever methodology he/she sees fit.
Ability, time and cost says that it could not be done now.
