I am starting to build Yuichi Arai A480 FL with a sandwitch of 5mm plywood cut by laser.
Is someone interresting by sources files and tips?

Hi,

Here the pictures of all slices (32 slices of 4.5mm plywood). Definitely, the laser cut is very accurate!

In the last picture you can see the Altec 806.
Now i have to stick the upper part, and down part with wood glue to be able to sand correctly.
I will send picture when I'll be at this step.

So you will leave the steps in? Or will you be filling them somehow?

I will sand all angles to make a curved smooth profile.
I will also make with a 3D printer the adaptor between the round ouput of the altec and the square input of the horn

sorry for the delay I did not post stuff for a long time. I will update that thread in the next week with picture and building feedback. The horn is 60% glued and 30% sanded.

My beech CNC'd horn has only 10 18mm layers. It requires much less sanding, but it is still too much sanding to my taste🙂

I am curious how the wood will look on yours. How much plywood in total was needed to cut all the parts?
