Hey guys.... I found this REALLY interesting link to the original company who made the TA-477, and the TA-1000A amplifier kits. My wife is from Taiwan so she was able to read and translate the Chinese text on one of the build manuals shown in one of the photos on the TA-477 construction pages posted by a fellow diyAudio users. Anyway...the company is Tung Yung Electrical company of Hong Kong. I did a search for Tung Yung HK and this link to radiomuseum.org stated that the company Soundmaster is part of Tung Yung ( Tung Yung Electrical Co. - Sound Master manufacturer in HK, ). If you look at the PC boards of these amplifiers, you will see both Tung Yung and SoundMaster printed on the board, so they are in fact the same company.
I noticed that radiomuseum link stated that Soundmaster is indeed in HK and surprisingly STILL IN BUSINESS in 2014. I did a search for Soundmaster HK and found the same company still in business, making tube amplifiers! ( 膽機製造商-------SOUND MASTER )
Apparently, the company still offers kits. I see a number of 300B amplifiers. Wow, what a find!
