For small ports, chuffing can start at surprisingly low velocities. As there is not much you can do about it, don't spend too much time on it.
If the subwoofer is for a pc sound system, you could use different channels of the sound card for subwoofer and sats (most people have at least 5.1) and apply filtering on the pc. Equalizer APO (+ Realtek audio drivers) can do it for free.

Thanks! These are unavailable in Sweden though.. Any ideas on how to build one? Or other alternatives
Look for designs for "passive line level crossovers" or PLLXO. Remarkably little seems to be available in assembled or even kit form. Would need prototyping with breadboard or veroboard (Or even building with Vero).
