I would Like to know if anyone can help e with the LT circuit for this specific sub (Peerless 12" xxls - 830845) with th Ruthmik Audio A370 Plate amp?
I'm considering on purchasing rithmyk's plate amp and chaging it's RC values to achieve a better set for my sub.
I've made some plots and I've come up with a 110,6 L sealed box!
Is'nt it a box too big?
Hi There again!
Wath would be the LT circuit values that you would recomend if I where to use the 12" XXLS - 830845 Driver with the Rythmik Audio A370 Plate amp?

Hi there once again,
I've been out of the project for quite some time now since I've been working abroad.
I've read your replies and thank you all for your contribution.
I would like to take this opportunity to ask your opinion regarding the amplifier module that you would recommend.
I've been looking for a amplifier preferably with a XLR input and with a power reserve good enough in case I choose in the near future to go with a 2 subwoofer configuration.
I've looked in to the following choices:
*Hypex's DS8.0
*BK electronic's BSBPV500
and
*Rythmik Audio A370 amplifier - Special Edition (Non-servo)
all three of them are very different.
I prefer a more "musical" amplifier that's wy I'm considering a class A/B operation instead of a class D since I haven't got any actual listening experience with class D operation amplifiers.
I've listened once to digital amplifier's from lyngorf and they were ok but it wasn't the kind of musicality that search for.
Maybe today thing might have change a lot...
I've been told great things regarding Hypex amplifiers and the all well renowned BK amplifiers.
What are your opinions?
Cheers,
Tiff

I have no experience with the amplifiers
mentioned in your post 25
But since your posted photo and your written
description did not match, I thought there was
a slight chance that you had a mislabeled product.
(I have on two occasions been shipped a speaker of that type that was not what it was labeled - from a well known US dealer)
Mistakes can happen.

G'day Tiff
Have a look for posts by me in the Tapped Horn thread on this site. A Tapped Horn will give you all the advantages of these great drivers, with even lower distortion and >10dB more maximum output. The '877 is pretty much the ideal driver for one of these Tapped Horns, when you aim for ~20Hz cut off.
Cheers
