Hi,
I wish to build the hybrid valve+fet amp on the following page http://digilander.libero.it/essentialaudio/hybrid_circuit.htm but using 2 pairs of 2sk1058/2sj162 instead of the irf9540/540 as per the diagram.
Is there any major modification required? Also will changing the output stage affect the response or linearity?
Also do I connect the second pair with its own source and gate resistor to the same point or do I just share the gate resistor and add only a source resistor?
I am looking to get about 35 watts output, but anything over 20 would be acceptable.
Thank you for your suggestions, I am looking at using this amp to replace my main listening amplifier.

Hi,
the hybrid + schematic shows the paralleled FET output stage.
The BUZ alternatives shown are Lateral FETs similar to the 2sk/j devices.
What temp compensation keeps the vertical FET CCS at near constant current.
