It looks like the smeared parts are only on the side away from the center of the screen. That might be reflections inside the lens. Do your lenses have anti-reflective coating? Any place that makes eyeglass lenses should be able to get them coated for you.

Hi Gunawan, I am using the longthrow lens of DIY PJ. The images are excellent. My lens to screen distance is 22 feet, image width 120", LCD 13.3" XGA, fresnels 220/330 from the junk OHP.
