Some of the best brands are European and still produce here. We got a long history with producing tranducers, both for home or pro audio. Even china with it's cheap labor could not stop that.I did mean made. Just curious if you can make a decent affordable speaker with European made parts.
Brands like Seas, ScanSpeak, Faital, B&C (including 18Sound and Ciare), Focal/JMLabs, ... all still have their production plants in Europe, And you also got still a quiet a few OEM only builders that are less known like Premium Sound Solutions (the former Philips speaker factory) in Dendermonde (Belgium) that design and produce a lot of transducers for other brands in Europe. Some may have outsourced their production to Asia, but many don't and stay on top of the game. And prices are not always that much higher compared to Asian parts or parts from other parts of the world.
These seem very good value. There is a small loudspeaker company in my area and they produce drivers too. I don't have much experience with them but they seem to have quite good QPR opinions. Their website has English language options and prices in euros, so I guess they sell abroad too (at least in Europe).
