Hi,
CSR64215 supports True Wireless Stereo. True Wireless Stereo enables one to embed the CSR modules in each of the left and right speakers and stream BT audio from laptop/mobile while BT maintain tight audio timing in both the speakers. Easy way to make wireless active speakers. However, there are not many DIY friendly modules of CSR 64215 available.
Are there any such non CSR modules available for DIYers to use?
Thanks and Regards,
WonderfulAudio

'True Wireless Stereo' appears to be designed for use with unwired earbuds. In other words, its technology much like that used in hearing aids that communicate with each other over low power radio. In that case since power is very low, there doesn't seem to be any public information from Qualcom about how far apart TWS devices can be from each other and still communicate.
see this thread, post #5. I've got a pair of active speakers with those QCC3008 modules in them, and the TWS capability works well. Someday I'll write an article about them for Audiodevelopers--just haven't had the time lately. Note that you need those 3 switches to program them, but once they are set up the connection data is stored in the module and they bond automatically. There are lots of DIY-friendly QCC3008-based modules on Banggood and Aliexpress. I think there are other TWS chips available, but the Qualcomm modules support the the aptX and aptX-HD codecs, which provide good audio with low latency.
