Which 12" driver do you have the AD12100/w8 or the AD12200/w8?
The 12100/w8 sounds best in a closed cabinet 60-80liters, ported is possible 80-100liters tuned around 30hz.
The 12200/w8 is excellent for ported designs, also 80-100liters tuned around 30hz.

I have two Philips 12100/M16 in a ~ 100 Liters closed cabinet per side..
I love their sound!
I want to make an home theatre system with these Speakers. in front 2x 12100M16 per side, back 1x 12100 M8 per side and in the centre also 2x or 1x the 12100.
(the subs can come later.... 🙂 )
now, i don't know what type of carbinet i shold give the rears and the centre.has anyone an Idea for me?
what actually happens, when i remove the subcone? is the 12100M then a 12100W? its maybe a good Idea for the sub?
My actual speakers are dipols, see at the pics.But these carbinets are to big for the rears.
