Broken big screen

I have a 60" mitsubishi that has a broken front screen. It is to costly for me to replace it. Is their anything i can do with the parts?
Or is their anyway i can make my own screen?


I am new to all of this so any input is greatly apreciated.

if you are talking about a rear projection tv and the front viewing screen is broken, you could always do this ( if you dare) look inside fort he projection components and make yourself a housing for them, then use it to project dircetly onto a screen. voila!! front projector!! the nature of a rear projector tv is a crt or lcd projection unit angled and directed towards a large first surface mirror, then bounced onto a semi transparent screen ( what sounds to be broken in your case). since the light goes thru the screen into your eyes, the image is correct from its source, then reversed by bouncing on the mirror, then projected onto the screen. logic would lead you to believe that you would then be seeing a reversed image, but remember you are seeing the back of the screen, not the front, therefore the image looks correct to you. simply eliminate the mirror out of the equation and you could project the image onto a screen on the wall the same way traditional projectors work (i think, unless there is some obscure optical element in there). good luck!!!!
