Yes it is. I was trialling different port lengths but the hole in the cabinet is a little bit tight and I haven't had time to lay the speakers flat to enable me push them flush.
Edit: My son has been in the lounge today and I didn't want to bring his attention to the holes. I have a feeling they may become a garage to park his toy cars 🙄

It might be a shame to spoil the aesthetics by covering the port opening with a small metal mesh speaker grille, but could be better than the alternative.

I thought about that, but I'll see how we go.
I really do need to fit some grills to drivers, I'm going to be on tender hooks at work tomorrow
Whenever the name Athena is mentioned my mind wanders back to the classic Athena poster of the girl playing tennis.
Can't think why 😀

Hi
I am currently putting together an audio projects website and I will be featuring my Brines speakers.
I don't have the pictures to hand at the moment but I will post a message on this thread when its up and running.
I hope this helps.
Hi
I am thinking about adding a super tweeter to my speakers but would like to know if you have any suggestions for an enclosure?
Bob has recommended the FT17H. I would like to mount them in a small case on top of the existing speakers if possible.

I don't necessarily need to use the FT17H you have better suggestion.
Thanks 🙂

Well, they don't need an enclosure, so you can make a simple box with the same finish as the main enclosure to stick on the top. The FT17 is a nice little unit, good as anything else you'll get for the price & works well with the 167.

What would you recommend crossing the tweeter with?
That's one of those 'how long is a piece of string' questions TBH. Depends on what you happen to like; I'd probably cap it off at ~12KHz initially & adjust from there. It shouldn't need any padding, IIRC Bob took some measures a while back & found its sensitivity to be pretty much identical to the 167.

Scott...what value cap would achieve ~12Khz?
Try ~1.5uF. Just get a handful of cheap caps. & see which suits you best. Once you've done that, you can buy something fancier of the appropriate value if you feel the need.

Thanks Scott, that's good advice.
