I have MiniDSP/MiniDIGI/MiniAMP (one of the first versions, before seperate pins for volume)
I have just bought a nice old turntable (Sony TT-2250) and need to switch between analog and digital input. I know I need a brake before make switch.
I have a couple of RS 317-651 switches. Good quality but I don't know if they are brake before make. How do I find out?

Toggle switches, by mechanical design, are break-before make
You should not use them in low-level audio circuitry. Togglers are preassure type contacts, you need a self-cleaning, wiper type contact, as found in a slide switches. E

Why are they not good for low-level? They have been used as switches in a pre-amp for at least 25 years. It was not made by me, but a audio engineer/technician.
