i think Parts Express has some type of 18 gauge braided speaker wire.

i looked there, too much money, i only need alittle, i found a place before that sells it by the foot, cant remember the site.

Radio Shack sells some assorted smaller spools for $5-6. I'd imagine you'll pay more in shipping from most places.
