Hello, my Bose Mini Soundlink’s amplifier board packed in. wAY beyond warranty.
I scrounged the Passive Radiators and the drivers and wanted to re-use them. I can not for the life of me find TS params for these guys. Any tips for volume of a sealed, ported, or passive radiated box?

Hello, with such tiny drivers the qts is almost certainly above .707, you could put them in a sealed cabinet four times the volume of what they were in, or use the same volume with the passive radiators (seems like, to me). Make the front baffle large and it would sound better, the larger the better..This might be a model to follow.

Sorry, this is unclear. I meant "use the same volume they were originally in" with the passive radiators (it seems, to me). WIth sealed, you can make the cabinet larger, as large as you can or want, as the Q of the speaker/cabinet isn't going to get any lower than the driver Qts anyhow.

There's no reason why a driver this small needs to have a high Qts. Tymphany/Dayton make ones that don't and I've bought/measured several that don't too.
This is a PR design. It stands to reason that Bose designed drivers with a low Qts.
I would imagine your only choice is to measure them.

Cool! I stand corrected. All the ones I've looked at seem to have high qts. I assumed that the magnet size limitations of a little driver and the minimum material thickness (for durability) of the spiders and surrounds conspired to make this happen.
It will be a challenge to tune this drivers in a new cabinet. Bose for sure uses tons of DSP to make it sound that way.
I have one that still works flawless, but I can't help you to get the specs. Maybe someone know how to measure the main ones so you can simulate some new cabinets.

If you lazy, a DATS V3 is great for this to, and not that expensive. But it's not really needed. It works with the same principle btw.

Thanks everyone for the replies! These little guys have a much larger linear displacement than my 2.5 peerless drivers. I made a mason jar jig, to fit them in the lid, and tried a few different volumes. I am 3d printing a little sealed enclosure with the best sounding volume. I will also print a PR cabinet with volume similar to the original.

DATS V3 is great for this to, and not that expensive. But it's not really needed. It works with the same principle btw.
Based on what the authour has said DATS does not work the same way as you would manually do it (and as S+L Woofer Tester 2). It guesses from the impedance curve. From experience not overly accurate.
