Boomy TLs

I just built a pair of M3 Transmission Lines from IPL. They are great speakers but I noticed that with certain music and on certain notes, the bass rumbles and booms unpleasantly. I have a large table in the room which I thought may be affecting the sound somehow but since moving the speakers away from it the problem remains.
The cable runs to my amp are short and there is some stuffing in the line but not a lot. My amp is an old Rotel, not a great model, could the problem be a worn out amp?? I'm currently building a gainclone to replace it. Also I thought that it could be some 'panel ringing' inside the line, though I made sure that these were well braced when I built it.

I'd appreciate some help with this problem as I'm not qualified enough to dive in and start messing with the crossover without checking first.

Try adding more stuffing to the line. This should dampen out some of the bass ringing at the cost of bow end extension. You need to play with the stuffing to find where it works best with your setup and room.

Thanks

Thanks for all the advice. Will a certain type of stuffing block out just the boomyness in the small range of bass frequency that seems to be affected then? Should the stuffing go in the line, behind the woofer or both?
