Book shelf-sized transmission line.

I have a pair of Peerless #850122 woofers that I would like to use in a transmission line enclosure. I've seen designs on floor standing enclosures but I'd like to try a book shelf-sized box instead. Know of any designs that might be suitable?

How would you get enough length in a bookshelf sized speaker? I have been toying with a desktop design but using the space behind the monitor and/or in the "stands" to get the length.

Something similar could be done, though would be best modelled in Hornresp or Leonard Audio or MJK's worksheets.

Why bother, when it's only 3db down at 30hz in a 40 liter BR box (WinISD sim). This driver doesn't seem suited to a TL at all.

Trying to fit this driver with its Vas into a desktop size TL is not something that will give a decent result. TLs are by their nature fairly large.

If you look up the Woden BabyLabs, you will get an idea of the size of a TL for drivers with Vas a tenth to a fifth what this driver has.

Thanks for the input. I thought (incorrectly I guess) that a folded transmission would be doable (given the driver's suitability for a larger floor-mounted version).

Exterior vs. Interior Tech.

There are a few attractive cabinets for TM speakers which also reduce edge diffraction distortion.

You probably have a few favorites....
