Prepare to be dazzled 🙂
Will it unseat my ESS Heil AMT's as the king of tweeters?
They both go down pretty low (circa 600Hz) which is nice from a XO perspective.
Not sure ive only used as a midrange to 3k with a raal tweeter
The combination is very clean and uncoloured in comparsion to a typical cone / dome speaker

Those wiggles are around 6-8kHz, which is problematic in many ways for Neo3. However obviously quite difficult to hear... Anyway Neo3 is nice as dipole and much cheaper than Beyma TPL which is much larger anh thus has different challenges.
The neo 10's have always interested me, supposedly unbeatable transients and can be crossed low ( around 300 hz 2nd order) which means good integration with a largish sealed woofer.. looks like they can be crossed to a ribbon too, just
What level of peak SPL can be achieved by a Neo 10/Neo 3 combo?
Can it do 115db crossed at 300/1800?

Not sure to that- I just spotted a build with a 12" sub over on PE, crossed at 325/2 (to a Tlab tweet), so it suggests they are capable

I dont think so. Planar drivers suffer from diaphragm deformation at high spl. Someone, somewhere meaaured it and posted measurements. I remember seeing it a few years ago...
I had some line sources using NEO 8's. I replaced them with Fountek ribbons and the magic of good high frequency performance came back. I recommend not using the 8's for high frequency reproduction.

Unfortunately the Founteks require a higher xover.
They DO sound sweet, no doubt.
Sorry to hear it didn't hack it in the treble department.. But the neo 8 (s) as a dedicated mid?
