I don't know,It's the SH-130AL crossover that's causing the huge peak at about 100 Hz. Try adding a 10-20 ohm resistor in series with the 100 uF cap. Adjust the resistor value so the SH-130AL response blends with the SPX-31M response. I modeled just the SH-130AL in VituixCad and my results match yours.
PS: The inside diameter of the port tube is 35 mm.
It seems strange to me that a very famous and respected designer (A. Bellino) messed up the cross over.
It doesn't fit.
I am more inclined to think that there is something else.
Maybe I should consider the 3 drivers as completely separate units. They are working in 3 completely different planes.
There is some diffraction at the edge, but in principle only the full range is pointed to the listener.
The sound from the other 2 drivers comes to the listener in some mysterious ways (especially the twitter).
I don’t know if Vituix can simulate that.
I guess the simulation is based on a typical 2-3 ways configuration with the 3 drivers on the same emission plane. In that case there is interaction, cutting freq., phase, etc… but this is not the case.
Maybe in this configuration is just about cutting frequencies: low pass for the woofer, high pass for the tweeter, and something in between for the full range.
No idea
All these parameters can be entered in VituixCad (crossover tab. These are the coordinates of the side firing woofer. When the baffle is slanted/stepped you have to calculate the exact value related to the position of the driver to be entered (Z).
Coordinates origin, x,y,z=0 is generally the position of the TW.

Dear all,
I attached the 3d files of my w5 alternative.
I have designed 2 versions:
• CNC version – general thickness of 15mm. I split the box in half for now. The models needs to be sliced depending on the capability of the CNC. In the current climate using real wood might cost quite a lot. A bit smaller and looking very much like a w5.
• Box Version – general thickness of 16mm MDF (where I live thy don’t sell 15mm….) to be painted. Front panels of wood of 20mm. More conventional design, cheaper to build. It's slightly bigger but nothig serious. This version offer more options for customisation (different colours, different front). Keeping it more edgy, also wood venner could be used....
I left the volumes inside the box. The volumes of speakers and reflex need to be removed to find the real free-air inside. I left the centre points of the drivers.
Is someone in interested to develop the project, please have a go (especially the tuning side). For now I stop here I will probably build a couple very soon.
I will kee you posted.
