Blocking mid bass rear pole piece vent

Hello,

I was wondering what would be the effect of blocking the vent on the back of a mid bass driver (except reducing the ability of the voice coil to cool down).

I have four identical mid bass per channel so they won't get driven hard and I listen at modest levels.

Sure you can do that, just measure and listen if its better or worse.
i blocked one seas driver and it went worse after blocking

yes, blocking the vent will alter the driver self resonance behaviour

I don't want to increase Fs so will leave them open. I am joining the two magnets in an opposing driver bipole so will have to do it without blocking the vent.
