Greetings.
tonequester here. I tried the Analog section of the forum, but had no replies. Perhaps that wasn't the right place to post this. I'll try here.
I wish to use a blender(or balance, or panning) pot, to vary between an inductor and a capacitor. I found a device(mod) that was a pot with an Orange Drop cap, and an inductor, that looked like a small transformer for sale at about $46.00. However, I lost the web site and company name. I thought that I might be able to put such a thing together, to replace a tone control on my guitar, but could really use some advice on how to put this thing together. The device that I had come across seemed to be a simple input/output connection, easy to install. I've tried to Google for 🙂 similar circuits, but have only found blender pot applications that are for blending 2 pick ups. If anybody could help me out in figuring out how to add the cap and inductor to a 500kOhm blender pot, I would really appreciate it. If it takes a special pot, that's no problem. I'll buy whatever is needed, and need to get the cap and inductor anyway.
Thanks for any replies in advance. Best Regards, tonequester.

I have a notion what you are asking, and I run a pro audio shop, guitar amps etc, but I don't know what you refer to. This forum is more about hifi. I suggest you visit a guitar forum, rather than an amplifier forum.
For example, this forum has a guitar and pickup section:
Guitar Tech
But there are other good guitar forums as well.

Greetings Enzo, and audiostrat.
Thanks for replying, and I apologize for posting in the wrong section. I'll try guitar tech section. I have posted on two guitar forums about this, but got no replies. This rather surprised me, as I felt it would be an easy reply to make, on those particular forums. If I hadn't lost the info I stumbled upon, and wrote down about that very thing being sold, I'd have just bought the thing.
Thanks for setting me straight, and once again....apologies for your time.
tonequester.

checking link.
Greetings and thanks Enzo, for the link.
I just got your last post, and I will definitely check out your link. I truly look at all suggested links. My biggest problem is that I just don't understand(yet) a good deal of them. Hey, you have to start somewhere, and I often print them off so that I can use them as my studies progress. I'm playing catch up now, studying the N.E.E.T.S.(Navy) electronics program, suggested by the rep at C.E.T. She said I should do this before thinking about the C.E.T. course they offer online. However, as you can see, I am also trying to just work on things, whether it be repair, modification, kit building, etc. I'm not trying to go into business, just trying to be much more proficient. If I can hack the math, I'll get there.
I appreciate your input as always. Best Regards,m tonequester.
