Came across this on Ebay:

I had the seller send me a close up photo. Looks the same as the silver Lilliputs. Claims to be manufactured by Lilliput. I know we don't need a touch screen for a diy projector but the last one sold for cheaper than the non-touch screen version. But more importantly, is it real?

I've just bought a Lilliput that looks exactly the same as shown here except that's the silver version.
I think it's real. The touchscreen can easily be removed so it's no problem. Just make sure that there are no defective pixels (very annoying if projected)

These 7" LCD Screens Are useful?
I am starting my DIY Projector. In my country (Argentina) an LCD Panel for an OHP is really expensive ($800). And a 7" Lilliput-like LCD Screen is about $150. The question is Are these screens useful and easy to take apart for the DIY Projector? I dont want to spent $150, and then realize that is useless.
I´ve read that I need to disassemble it and leave the transparent LCD. But maybe the screen is all uglily Glued and its impossible to separate the lcd....then what?
This is the only part that i´m missing, because I have all the other materials. I have a Sawyer Slide projector, from which I plan to take out the lenses and 500W Lightbulb. It even has a cool motorized focusing system which I intend to use.
I also have an Old Eumig 8mm projector, which I also will use in case of needing some parts from it. And a 7" Lilliput-like LCD Screen is about $150. The question is Are these screens useful and easy to take apart for the DIY Projector?
Thanks a lot!!!

It's real. I managed to find a document that shows how to strip it as well.
It is at: http://www.allinbox.com/furby/lilli.htm
It is in french, but if you use babel fish at: http://babelfish.altavista.com/
It translates it fairly good. Hope this helps.

Thanks Ireland30!
Thanks! there´s a lot of useful info. Also check http://www.allinbox.com/allinbox.htm lot´s of different projects to see and take ideas.
Right now I´m having trouble with some tests. I cant figure how to project an image using the 2 fresnels and my 4"FL Projector lens...I´ll keep testing...I think that my projector lens has too short FL for this. Almost everyone is using >8" FL projector lens.
