Is operation near saturation fairly accurate ?
I have read some place that saturation is not implemented. I want to use a bjt at Vce equal + & - 10% Vbe for an accurate base sprader with a fine Vbe adjustment.

Near saturation should be OK, but deep saturation is usually unreliable, especially at high current densities.
Beta droop at low current densities is usually included. Operation above the current corresponding to the peak of the fT versus IC curve is often inaccurate.

How to check wether a bjt model does implement Beta drooping? Which parameter(s) should be defined in the model?
