The opposite is also true in that a speaker at certain frequencies can be many times its nominal resistance.
I have a 15 inch speaker that is 200 ohms at 5KHz.

But it won't make much sound up there (at least not over a useful coverage angle). You'd be crossed over to the midrange or tweeter by then - and the impedance would be closer to 8 than 200.
