This INTERESTING! Could you please draw a graph of this to edify a non-mathematical dufus like me?

/Circlotron - can't cut it with the big boys when it comes to hard sums. :bawling:

Hi Circlotron,

Attached a picture about what I mean. When I have time next weekend I will do some Spicy simulations. Although the Hitachi fet models I have are not that accurate.

Cheers 🙂

Hi,
the green line showing the ideal characteristic of subtracting the perfect transfers from each other cannot be achieved in ClassAB.
The subtraction problem is particularly accute over the middle portion where the line develops a wobble. It was this wobble that D.Self majored on in his papers and books on the the "blameless" and subsequent amps.

Hi all,
yes I have tried Mosfet drivers with Bipolar outs in CFB coubling and it worked quite well, but I did not ultimately like the sound of it...
Also You still need to employ Emitter resistors with the bipolars in order to prevent thermal runaway and current hugging between devices, so maybe there's not that much won here...

Cheers
